* Pastor’s Notes: *John 3:16-18 The Message (MSG)“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

* I BELIEVE by Ben  Blanton:1, Life is more clear when viewed with an eternal perspective. 2.  Sometimes---you must stand alone. 3 Not everything we face can be changed, but nothing will be changed until it is faced. 4. Our effort needs to be from what is and toward that which could be. 5. If at first you don't succeed, you are about average. 6. "Take all of this book upon reason that you can, and the balance on faith, and you will live and die a happier man."  Abraham Lincoln (referring to the Bible). 7. My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever. Psalm 145:21

*From 10 Things Christians Like to Do That Aren't Biblical by Lori Hatcher - Pray for God's Presence. I do this all the time. “God, please be with our missionaries as they share the Gospel in Mexico. Please be with Mary in the hospital as she has her gallbladder removed. And please be with the Jones family as they mourn the loss of their mother.”
Praying for God to be with us flies in the face of Scripture. Jesus, in Matthew 28:20, told the disciples, “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” If we are His disciples, this promise belongs to us, too.

The Psalmist beautifully captured the essence of God’s presence in Psalm 139:7-10: “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.”
Even more comforting than God’s presence with us is God’s presence in us. When we accept Christ as our Savior, he promises, “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians. 1:27).
